   I have used linkedIn for a good few years now and it is very useful specially when working with recruitment.

   Sam,

   I find linkedIn very usefull, but one of the key things for me is only to add people that i KNOW very well, I see tons of people adding each other to look like they have a big network, but to me that's worth nothing.
   Add the people you know well enough to recomend to someone else and only recomend people that you would have liked to get recomened yourself.
   Networking is about helping people!

   Hi Sam,

   Would very much agree with John point around keeping your network to people you know and trust as your network will often be seen as a reflexion of you. I did a blog post on Networking the other day and there's a follow up on social media's on the way, that might be of use.

   Yeppa! linkedin all the way!

   I just joined a group called "Contact Center Operations & Management" and there's load of free webinars and interesting discussions!

   I havent used it to much for networking yet, but im sure that part will follow!

   Anyone using other social media's at the same time along with Linkedin? I think Facebook is also very good for this!

   I'm just loving this tool even more for every day, I use it to find local networking events etc and it's soooo useful

   I have found a very useful group in linkedin called "Leadership Think Tank", there's a lot of very good management discussions going on in there!
